Announcing 2014 Highland Park UNCORKED



Now bigger than ever. This event just keeps getting bigger and better. We have increased the number of people that can attend, but still encourage you to register early. We expect a sellout crowd. Last year we had to turn people away that did not preregister.

There will be special wine pours for tasting when the doors open and lots of great prizes have been donated for the raffle drawings.

If you have never been to one of these events (or have a somewhat hazy recollection), here is the overview. Each person brings a bottle of their favorite wine, priced at $15 or less. You are assigned a table. The bottle is placed in a brown paper bag, given a number and eventually placed somewhere on your assigned table. You don’t worry about that, as you relax with the wines from the award winning Northwest Wine Academy, mingle with your neighbors, and munch on a wonderful spread of food prepared by our talented gastronomes.

When the tasting starts, you will go to your assigned table and your table captain will walk you through the process. Everybody tastes the wines that each person at their table brought and end up voting for the best. The winning wine from your table progresses to the finals where they are all tasted and the top three are chosen.  There is still lots of wine at your table to further “examine” and enjoy with your tablemates.

What do I need to bring? Each person must bring one bottle of wine, purchased for $15 or less.

Bring your credit card and bring cash. There will be raffles with great prizes that you will not want to miss. We have a special package for those buying $50 or more in raffle tickets. Watch for it below when you are registering. We have some wonderful prizes donated and this raffle is the heart of this event’s fundraising. We accept both cash and credit cards.

If you did not preregister, the $25 per person suggested donation at the door will be appreciated, if we are not sold out. Please do not plan on this.

When should I arrive? Be sure to preregister to ensure that you have a seat and then arrive no later than 6:50, after which time your seat may be given to someone else. But arrive earlier and enjoy the food and wine tasting available.  If you do not preregister, then you should be there as early as possible and hope that seating is still available. Doors open at 5:30 pm.

I want to donate MORE than the suggested donation.  You will certainly have opportunity at the event to donate (Did we mention the raffle?) but you may do so on the registration as well, in increments of $20. Simply add more Attendees. When you are contacted for your attendees, simply let us know of your generosity. Thanks!

Adult Humans Only, please.  Please leave children and non-service animals at home. As much fun as this event is, they would not enjoy it.
