HPIC is pleased to announce a new INTRO to YOGA class being offered on Monday Nights starting May 18th 

If you are new to yoga and want to stick to the basics, this class will be a great introduction! Fundamental postures, breath work, and relaxation techniques are introduced. Expect a slow pace and detailed instructions. No yoga experience necessary! Come give it a try!

Classes will be held at Highland Park Improvement Club, every Monday from 5:30-6:30pm starting May18th!

Yoga classes at HPIC are community-oriented classes.  We offer a safe, non-judgmental environment and skilled instructors.

Monday @ 7pm (75 min)- Vinyasa Flow with Flower

Thursday @7pm (75 min)- Vinyasa Flow with Kandie

Sunday @ 10am (75 min)- Gentle Flow with Delina

What to wear/ bring: Everyone needs to bring a yoga mat. We do have some yoga mats, blocks and straps as well. You will want to wear comfortable clothing you can easily move in. Yoga tops, sports bras and fitted tee shirts/tank tops are a good choice. We will practice barefoot. You should not eat for an hour before yoga. Everyone should bring an open mind and sense of humor.

Price: $8.00 per class

Thursday evenings

These classes are great for those brand new to yoga as well as those with a yoga background. Focus on yogic breath and alignment of poses with an emphasis on lengthening the spine. Flow yoga links poses together creating heat in the body to allow a deeper stretch.

Gentle Yoga

Thinking of trying a yoga class? This all levels, gentle class is a perfect introduction to yoga for people of any fitness level (you don’t have to be flexible!) Students will learn the fundamentals of proper alignment and how to integrate breath with movement. Use of props will be encouraged to support the body and make the poses most comfortable.

Price: $8.00 per class
