offers this post-Thanksgiving and post-Black Friday workshop
Gather with others to create your own holiday wreath.
Workshop will include ideas on theme, shapes and decorations.
Participants must bring their own greens:
Ivy, Wisteria or other vines, evergreen gathered from the ground after a storm, or trim your yard trees.
Decor/tools to bring: bulbs, wire, nippers, pine cones, string, yarn, ribbon, etc.
We supply the tables, inspiration and ideas.
Doors open at 6:00 pm (this month only) with a children’s short at 6:15 and the main movie at 7. Free admission. Volunteers will be selling popcorn, candy and other movie fare. Bring blankets and pillows or sit in our chairs. This is an all ages event. Bring your friends, family and neighbors.
Children’s Movie Hint: In this 1973 30 minute television classic, Peppermint Patty invites herself and her friends over for Thanksgiving, and with Linus, Snoopy, and Woodstock, Charlie attempts to throw together a Thanksgiving dinner.
Movie hint: In this 1993 PG (114 minutes) feature, Rudy has always been told that he was too small to play college football. But he is determined to overcome the odds and fulfill his dream of playing for Notre Dame.
The next Highland Park Potluck Tailgate Party will be Sunday, November 23rd from 1 to 5 PM. Admission is free. Doors open at noon, with game time at 1:05. Bring a dish or snacks to share, and bring your own beverages. Join your neighbors in cheering on your favorite team!
This is an all ages event. HPIC is an inclusive organization, so come cheer on your favorite team, whichever one that might be!
Please bring your own refreshments and snacks.

Shop super local for handmade treasures made in the ‘hood. Arts, crafts, raffle and concessions for sale. This is a great chance to get your holiday shopping started early and support your local neighbors and friends. Come on out and get into the holiday spirit!

This November marks the 95th Anniversary of the Highland Park Improvement Club – come celebrate with the elders from bygone times. And warm the fall tinges with vintage Brazilian jazz by Choroloco.

Draft beer, wine and special cocktail! As always, we offer a wide assortment of non-alcoholic beverages as well.
Green Guidance – Walking or bicycling to the event is encouraged. It’s green, it makes the neighbors happier and provides a safe walk home!
Parental Guidance – There are toys and games set up on tables. Parents, please be aware of your child’s activities. Activities such as ball throwing and chasing games are discouraged.
